Tiramisu is an emblematic dessert of Italian cuisine, whose name means "pick me up" or "cheer me up" in Italian, referring to its ability to provide energy thanks to its ingredients like coffee and cocoa. Originating from the Veneto region in Italy, this sweet treat has become popular all over the world, and each Latin American country has given it its distinctive touch, although it generally maintains its basic form. In countries like Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia, tiramisu retains its essence, though it is sometimes known simply as "coffee and cheese cake" or "mascarpone dessert." Its exquisite flavor and creamy texture have made it a classic that transcends borders.
How to Prepare Olive Garden Tiramisu
Ingredients: Ladyfingers, Strong black coffee, Brandy, Cream cheese, Extra fine granulated sugar, Cocoa powder.
Cut the cake in half to form two disks, each approximately 1 inch to 1.5 inches thick.
Mix the coffee or espresso with the liquor.
Sprinkle the bottom half of the cake with the coffee and liquor mixture, enough to give it a strong flavor, but without saturating the cake so it doesn't collapse.
Mix the cream cheese or mascarpone with the sugar and beat the cheese until the sugar is completely dissolved and the cheese is light and creamy.
Spread the bottom half of the cake with half of the creamy cheese, in a fairly thick layer.
Place the second half of the cake on top of the bottom half and repeat the process: sprinkle with the coffee and liquor mixture and spread with the remaining cream cheese.
Put the cocoa powder in a wire sieve and completely cover the top layer of cream cheese with cocoa.
Refrigerate the cake for at least two hours before cutting and serving.
