Peanut butter chip cookies

Peanut butter chip cookies are a delicious dessert that combines the smoothness of peanut butter with the sweet and crunchy touch of chocolate chips and peanuts. Their origin dates back to the United States, where peanut butter is an iconic and widely used ingredient in baking. In Latin America, although peanut butter is not as traditional as in North America, this variant has gained popularity and is easily adapted using local ingredients.

In different regions of Latin America, these cookies may be known by various names. For example, in Mexico they are simply called "peanut butter cookies," while in countries like Argentina or Colombia they are sometimes referred to as "peanut cream cookies." The preparation and base ingredients are very similar, reflecting the influence of American cuisine mixed with local flavors.

How to Make Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

To begin, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cream the butter and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add the peanut butter and eggs, mixing them well with the previous mixture.

Incorporate the flour and baking soda, mixing until a homogeneous dough is obtained.

Add the salted peanuts and semi-sweet chocolate chips and mix only until the ingredients are combined.

Place rounded teaspoonfuls of the dough two inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 9 to 12 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.

Immediately remove the cookies from the baking sheet and let them cool on a wire rack.
