Meatless meatloaf

Meatless meatloaf has its roots in the search for vegetarian and vegan alternatives within traditional gastronomy. This dish is a variant of the classic meatloaf that, instead of using animal meat, uses vegetable ingredients and other substitutes to offer a healthy and sustainable option without losing the characteristic flavor and texture.

In different Latin American countries, this type of preparation may have various names such as "vegetarian pie" or "vegetable meatloaf," adapting to local customs and the availability of ingredients. In places where the vegan influence has grown, it is also common to find it as "vegan meatloaf" or "meatless loaf." Its popularity has been increasing thanks to the rise of conscious diets and the interest in reducing the consumption of animal products.

This recipe combines traditional ingredients with natural elements that provide protein and flavor, achieving a complete culinary experience for those who seek to take care of their health or follow a vegetarian lifestyle without giving up iconic dishes.

How to Make Meatless Meatloaf

For this recipe we will need brown rice, egg, onion, garlic cloves, poultry seasoning, walnuts, ricotta cheese, seasoned salt, and freshly ground black pepper.

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl until you get a homogeneous mixture that allows you to shape the loaf.

Place the mixture in a mold and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 175 degrees Celsius) for an approximate time of 30 to 40 minutes, or until the loaf is firm and slightly golden on the surface.

Once baked, let it rest for a few minutes before cutting so that it holds its shape and is easier to serve.
