Lemon crumble bars

Lemon crumble bars are a traditional dessert that has won over palates in various regions of Latin America. Their origin dates back to the influence of American recipes, where lemon bars are a home classic. Although in many countries they are known simply as "lemon bars", in several Latin American regions the term "crumbs" or "crumble" is added to highlight the characteristic crunchy texture of their topping. In Mexico, for example, they are popularized as lemon bars with a crunchy crust, while in countries like Argentina or Chile, they are recognized as lemon tarts or bars with crumble. This recipe combines the freshness of lemon with a sweet base and a firm topping that melts in the mouth, making this dessert an ideal option for any occasion.

The versatility of lemon in Latin American cuisine allows these bars to be appreciated at family gatherings, celebrations, and as a home snack. Over time, each country has added its personal touch, whether in the preparation of the dough or the type of topping, but the fresh and delicate essence of lemon remains intact in every bite.
