Slow Cooker Chicken Wings: History and Origin
Chicken wings are a very popular traditional dish in various cultures, especially in American cuisine where they became popular as "Buffalo wings" in the city of Buffalo, New York, in the 1960s. However, in Latin America, chicken wings also hold a special place and are known by different names depending on the country. In Mexico, they are simply called "alitas de pollo" (chicken wings), while in countries like Colombia and Venezuela they are also widely consumed, often served with spicy sauces or homemade dressings.
This dish has transcended borders thanks to its simplicity and flavor, adapting to various culinary styles.
