Gyros is an emblematic dish of Greek cuisine, known for its delicious flavor and versatility. Its name comes from the Greek word "γύρος", which means "turn", due to the way the meat is cooked on a rotating vertical spit. This dish has origins dating back to Ottoman cuisine, similar to shawarma and döner kebab. In several Latin American countries, although it may not always be found under its original name, it is possible to find similar recipes under terms like "kebab" or simply "chicken or meat Greek-style". Gyros has gained international popularity, adapting to different cultures while maintaining its essence: a perfect mix of spiced meat, fresh vegetables, and a creamy sauce that makes it a complete and very tasty meal.
