Golden peanut bars, commonly known as "Golden peanut bars," are a very popular traditional dessert with its roots in American cuisine. They are especially appreciated in the southern United States, where peanuts are a common ingredient in many sweet and savory recipes. In other Latin American countries, although they do not have an identical name, similar recipes that combine peanuts and sweets exist under various names such as "peanut bars," "peanut candies," or simply "peanut desserts." This type of bar is characterized by its crunchy texture and sweet flavor with a toasted, buttery note, derived from the mixture of butter, peanuts, and sugar.
Their origin can be traced back to the invention of peanut butter and the widespread use of dairy products like condensed milk in baking. Today, it is a very easy and quick homemade recipe to prepare, perfect for sharing at gatherings or for a sweet craving during the day.
