How to Make Chicken and Cheese Lasagna

To begin, heat the margarine in a 2-quart saucepan over low heat until melted.

Add garlic and then incorporate the flour and salt.

Cook, stirring constantly, until it bubbles.

Remove from heat and incorporate the milk and chicken broth.

Heat until boiling, stirring constantly.

Add the mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese, onion, basil, oregano, and pepper.

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese melts.

Spread 1/4 of the sauce in an ungreased 13x9" baking dish and cover with 3 or 4 noodles, overlapping them if necessary.

Spread 1/2 of the cream-style cottage cheese over the noodles.

Repeat with 1/4 of the cheese sauce, 1/2 of the chicken, 1/2 of the spinach, and another layer of noodles.

Then add the remaining cottage cheese, 1/4 of the cheese sauce, the remaining chicken and spinach, and the remaining noodles.

Top with the remaining cheese sauce and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese.

Bake uncovered at 350°F for 20-30 minutes until very bubbly.

Let stand for 10-15 minutes before cutting and serving.
