History and origin of Special K bars
Special K bars are a popular healthy snack option that emerged as an extension of the Special K brand, internationally recognized for its low-calorie cereals. Originally created in the United States, these bars aim to provide a quick, nutritious, and delicious snack that combines the crunchy texture of cereal with energy-boosting ingredients like peanut butter.
In different Latin American countries, these bars may have similar names or simply be called "cereal bars" or "homemade energy bars." Despite variations in the name, the essence of the recipe remains very similar, adapting to local ingredients and tastes.
