Noodles in sesame sauce

Sesame Noodles: History and Origin

Sesame noodles are a traditional dish from Asian cuisine, very popular especially in China, where they are known as "芝麻酱拌面" (zhī ma jiàng bàn miàn). This recipe is valued for its delicate flavor and the rich, creamy texture provided by the sesame paste. Over time, it has been adapted in different Latin American countries, where it can be found under various names, but always maintaining its main essence: noodles served with a sauce made from sesame.

In countries like Mexico or Argentina, they are commonly known as "fideos con salsa de sésamo" (sesame sauce noodles), while in some parts of Central America, local ingredients are incorporated to give them a distinctive touch. Their origin is closely linked to the vast Chinese culinary tradition, where sesame has been an essential ingredient for centuries due to its versatility and flavor. This recipe mixes classic techniques and umami flavor that delight Asian food lovers all over the world.
