Mocha cocoa is a delicious combination that brings together the intense flavor of coffee with the deep aroma of cocoa, creating a beverage that has become popular around the world, especially in Latin America. Originating from the fusion of indigenous American cultures and European traditions, this blend has evolved over time through culinary exchange. In different Latin American countries, this preparation may have different names; for example, in Mexico it is usually simply called "mocha," while in Colombia and Argentina it is common to refer to it as "chocolate with coffee." The mocha blend is appreciated both for its comforting flavor and for the energizing properties of coffee and cocoa, making it ideal to enjoy at any time of the day.
How to Prepare Mocha Cocoa Mix
To prepare this mix at home, we will use simple ingredients that provide creaminess and intense flavor, resulting in a cozy and delicious beverage. The necessary ingredients are dairy cream, Carnation instant milk, sugar, Hershey's cocoa powder, instant coffee, and vanilla beans.
Mix in a blender, except for the vanilla, so that the size and consistency are uniform.
Place in an airtight container.
For 1 cup, heat water until boiling and add 4 to 5 heaping teaspoons of the mix.
Add the vanilla and stir.
Add a tablespoon of whipped cream or a marshmallow for a sinfully rich-tasting cup.
For gifts, place the mix in a nice jar and add a label with the final instructions.
Cover the lid with a square of quilted fabric and tie with burlap around the neck of the jar.
