Baked salmon with lemon butter

Baked salmon with lemon butter is a dish that combines simplicity and elegance in the kitchen. This preparation method has its roots in the culinary traditions of coastal regions where salmon is abundant, especially in countries like Chile, Mexico, and Argentina. In Latin America, although this recipe may vary slightly, it is usually known simply as "baked salmon" or "salmon with lemon." The European influence in these countries has popularized the use of butter and lemon, ingredients that enhance the salmon's natural flavor.

In other countries in the region, it is common to find similar versions under names such as "lemon salmon" in Mexico and "butter salmon" in Argentina. The process is simple and quick, ideal for those looking for a healthy and delicious meal. This dish is not only nutritious but also very versatile and can be accompanied by different side dishes like rice, salads, or steamed vegetables.

How to prepare Baked Salmon with Lemon Butter

Ingredients: Lemon, Salmon Fillets, Butter.

Preheat the oven to 200 °C (392 °F).

Cut the salmon fillet crosswise into pieces approximately 3-4 cm (1.2-1.6 inches) wide.

Spread a thin layer of butter or margarine on each piece of salmon.

Cut the lemon into slices and place one slice on top of each piece of salmon.

Squeeze the juice from the remaining lemon evenly over each piece of salmon.

Bake for 15-20 minutes.

Serve with rice.

Variations: Margarine is not necessary; however, my husband says it tastes very bland without it, and the lemon flavor is more intense without margarine.

It also prevents it from drying out if you like your salmon well-done.
